Let us help you with your accident claim forms
If you need help with your claim form our staff will be happy to discuss your individual claim in detail with you, to help and guide you through the process. Although complex, the majority of car or commercial vehicle insurance claims, if handled correctly should proceed with the minimum of problems and inconvenience.
The Autocrash 6 stages of vehicle repair
Stage 1
We will carry out an inspection of your damaged vehicle and provide you with an estimate. We will forward this estimate to your insurance company and then deal with all the administration. Please note that you only need to obtain one estimate for your insurance company. This means that the repair process can start as quickly as possible. If it helps we will also help you complete all the insurance company claim forms. We do it everyday; hopefully it is something you only do once so we can make the whole process less painful.
Stage 2
Your insurance company will give us authorisation to proceed with the agreed repairs. If the estimated cost of repair is over a certain amount or close to the current market value of the vehicle the insurance company may choose to send a field engineer to assess the vehicle to judge whether the repair cost is justified.
Stage 3
We will schedule the repair of your vehicle and order any parts which are required. At this stage we will contact you to check the date is convenient for you and arrange the free use of one of our courtesy cars.
Stage 4
Autocrash technicians will take over your damaged car as it goes through the various workshop stages from adding new components to colour matching the required paint to ensure complete colour accuracy. Once the vehicle has been painted it is allowed to bake at a high temperature in the spray booth for the paint curing process to take place.
If required we will even update you of your car's progress through the repair process – just ask us. Where required we complete a 4-wheel alignment steering geometry to within manufacturers’ tolerances.
Your car is finally road tested by an experienced technician and a final internal quality inspection report is prepared confirming the accuracy of the repair. The car is then cleaned inside and out and is ready for your collection.
Stage 5
A member of our reception team will contact you to arrange the handover of your completed vehicle.
Stage 6
On handing over your car we will ask you to sign a collection note to confirm you have received the vehicle back into your care. This is required so we can claim the money back from the insurer. At this stage we will collect any excess payment due at this time. We regret vehicles cannot be released unitl any due excess is paid.
If there is anything you are unsure about, please ring and speak to one of our team.
