Insurance Excess
You may find that when you took your insurance policy it included an 'excess' amount. This excess is deducted from the final invoice sent into your insurance company and you will be liable to pay this excess amount upon collection of your vehicle following repairs. You may well be able to claim this excess amount from the party responsible.
Collection Note
Insurers ask for a collection note to be signed after completion of the repairs. This document, provided by us or your insurer for you to sign, is then passed to the insurer in order that the repair account can be processed. Signing a collection note in no way affects your statutory rights.
Guarantee on vehicle repairs
In addition to maintaining the vehicle warranty (where appropriate) we offer a full 3 year guarantee on the vehicle repair, or we will honour your manufacturers warranty on all panels related to the repairs (which ever is the greatest)
Vehicle Anti-Perforation Warranty
In most cases all repair work is fully guaranteed and complies to motor manufacturers specifications. Your warranty should remain unaffected.
V.A.T.
If you or the owner of the vehicle are registered for V.A.T. purposes and the vehicle is used for business purposes, the V.A.T. content of the repair bill must be paid by you, not the insurer, usually upon collection of your repaired vehicle..
If you are not registered for V.A.T. or if the vehicle is not used for business, your motor insurer will accept responsibility for the full account less any contributions such as the excess.
